Limewire Music is an alternate version of the filesharing program, Limewire, it comes from a different developer than the original basic and pro versions and depends on Java Run Time environment, which should be installed on the computer to run it.
In my opinion it doesnt offer anything new even while its developer (pronetsharing) claims that Limewire Music enable unlimited downloads for not just music, also pictures, video, software and even text documents.
I didnt find anything special using it, maybe the music I was downloading didnt have a lot of sources but the speed wasnt oustanding.
I must admit that I havent installed the original limewire recently but I used basic prior to this version with same speed results both I was really bothered when I saw the new internet explorer "toolbar" Limewire Music installed even after I selected not to installed it during the setup, some of the files were even recognized as spyware by my security software.
The program works as any other filesharing program, performance is good since it uses the same limewire network the original product use and the interface is almost the same with just some color schemes changes.
Using Limewire Music or Basic, didnt made much difference to me, just take care of the toolbars!
